About animal osteopathy
In 2004, Chris York trained in animal osteopathy under Stuart McGregor at the Osteopathic Centre for Animals in Wantage, Oxfordshire, England — one of the world's leading centres for this specialised field.
Animal osteopathy applies the same principles as human osteopathy: working with the whole body, addressing structural and soft tissue imbalances, and supporting the body's inherent self-healing capacity.
Chris uses two main techniques for animals: cranial osteopathy — extremely gentle work with the body's subtle rhythms — and high-velocity thrust (HVT) for spinal mobilisation in horses.
Treatment is typically performed at your property or stables (for horses), or at one of Chris's clinic locations (for dogs).
